Who can apply to be a student at New Heights Charter School?
All students eligible to enter Kindergarten - Eighth grades in the 2011-12 school year can apply to New Heights Charter School.
What is the process for enrolling my child in New Heights Charter School?
1. Attend an Information Session (see dates below) and ask questions.
2. Complete a New Student Application form and mail/drop-off: New Heights Charter School -- Student Application, 4126 S. Arlington Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90008.
3. Review the School Community Handbook.
4. Attend an Orientation in order to complete the student registration process and sign the Parent-Student-School Compact.
When will I know if there is space for my child in the school?
You will receive notification about whether or not your child can be enrolled in the school within 3 weeks of the deadline for applications. If we have more applications than space, we will hold a public lottery and create a waitlist (see below).
How many opportunities do we have to enroll our child?
Student Applications are due on or before March 10th, 2010. If we have more applications than space, we will hold a lottery on March 21st.
What is the timeline for enrollment?
